How We Help
As firm believers in paying it forward, we have a great relationships with the local teaching establishments by not only providing apprenticeships, we attend many careers and training events to encourage the next generation, either with hands on teaching or advice, everyone from our current apprenticeship students to the MD are involved. We hope this will lead to people joining the construction industry and having long lasting career opportunities. Over recent years we have employed one or two new apprentices every year and over the past 60 years we have trained in excess of 40 apprentices. Our longest serving apprentice, from the start of his apprenticeship to retirement, worked for us for 49 years. Apprentices continue to be valued members of our team, working on site alongside their mentors, helping us to provide an excellent service to our clients and also giving back to the local area as around 90% of the apprentices we employ are from the Bedford area. Wadys have started to expand this ethos to other areas we work in.
