How we help
Every two years, the banks of the River Great Ouse in Bedford come alive for the River Festival. One of the weekend’s highlights is the raft race, where local businesses, pubs, and clubs compete in fun-filled races, often with plenty of eggs and flour thrown around.
We absolutely love this local fundraiser and have entered several times, raising money for the Friends of Bedford Hospital and the Beds Prostate Cancer Support Group.
The raft race is organised by the Rotary Club of Bedford Park, and in 2024 it was led by our very own Doug Wady raising over £5000 for local causes.
